Fees and insurance
I am currently in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield. If you have another insurance carrier, you may have out of network benefits that would cover therapy with me, but you need to verify with your insurance carrier. If you plan to use insurance, please find out what your co-pay for mental health office visits is, as well as any deductibles that may apply. I will be happy to file claims for you if in network, or provide you with a receipt you can file if I am out of network for you.
There are some advantages to not using insurance, mainly with regard to confidentiality and privacy. Although I make every effort to protect your confidentiality, your insurance carrier is entitled to certain information about your therapy.
My full fee is currently $120 per session for individuals (sessions are 45-50 minutes), and $135 for couples (couple sessions are generally 50-60 minutes, but they can also be longer in which case the fee is prorated). However, I do not want finances to prevent anyone from getting treatment, so ask me about my sliding scale based on income.
I accept credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover), including HSA cards, as well as cash or check for payment.
